The Scientific Council of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj held its seventh session for the academic year 1443 AH on Wednesday 20/08/1443 AH corresponding to 03/23/2022 AD, headed by His Excellency Dr. Nasser bin Saad Al-Qahtani , the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in charge - Chairman of the Scientific Council - where the President of the Council began the meeting, praise be to God and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God, then the Council proceeded to discuss the topics on its agenda. The Scientific Council issued a number of decisions regarding:
Approval of updating the controls for accrediting the promotion and appointment of non-Saudi faculty members for the following:
- Approving the promotion of a non-Saudi contracted faculty member for those appointed at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University to a degree lower than his academic degree.
- Appointing a non-Saudi contracted lecturer at the rank of assistant professor while he is on the job at the university after obtaining a doctorate degree.
Recommending approval of the appointment of three faculty members - on scholarships - at the rank of assistant professor at the university, who are:
- Dr. Youssef bin Muhammad Maqbool Al-Olayani held the position of assistant professor in the Department of Islamic Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir.
- Dr.. Nawaf bin Muhammad Khatam Al-Mutairi has been appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of English at the College of Science and Human Studies in Al-Kharj.
- Dr. Najla bint Nassir Muhammad Al-Sharif, as an assistant professor in the Department of Islamic Studies, College of Education, Dulam.
Approval of the promotion of a number of faculty members to the rank of professor, who are:
- Dr. Issam Bassiouni Abushanab, Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Human Studies in Al-Kharj
- Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Al Kabeeri, Department of Administrative and Human Sciences, College of Science and Human Studies in Aflaj.
- Dr. Kangraj Nalaya Kouinder, Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering in Wadi Al-Dawasir.
- Dr. Suad Bint Jaber Al-Fifi, Department of Islamic Studies, College of Education in Al-Kharj.
Approval of the promotion of a number of faculty members to the rank of associate professor, and they are:
- Dr. Amr Refaat Turki Al-Sunbati, Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science and Human Studies in Al-Kharj.
- Dr. Fara’a bint Abdullah Al-Khuzai, Department of Islamic Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences in Wadi Al-Dawasir.
- Dr. Ihsan Hassan Makled, Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy
- Dr. Khawla bint Ibrahim Al-Samahri, Department of Biology at the College of Science and Human Studies in Al-Kharj.
- Dr. Nasser Jamil Al-Shamaila, Department of Law at the College of Business Administration in Al-Kharj
- Dr. Noura bint Hamad Al-Dhayan, Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Kharj.
Disapproval of the promotion of a faculty member applying for promotion to the rank of associate professor.
Approval of the formation of nine committees of arbitrators for faculty members who are applicants for promotion to the ranks of professor and associate professor
Approval of arbitration for the translation of a book by a faculty member at the university and counting it within the minimum for promotion to the rank of professor.
In conclusion, His Excellency Dr. Nasser bin Saad Al-Qahtani congratulated the appointed and promoted faculty members and wished them and everyone more success and success.
