Exams and Interview Committee is an interdisciplinary committee in accordance with the different specializations to organize exams and personal interviews for applicants aiming for faculty positions as teaching assistants or lecturers. It is directly affiliated to the vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
The duties and tasks of this committee includes:
Establishing exam questions bank that can be used for recruitment purposes.
Ensuring that the applicants graduated from well-ranked and accredited universities and that their degrees are in the same field.
Scheduling exams and informing applicants about the exact date, time and location via the university web portal.
Arranging for the written exams to be taken by the applicants and scoring and grading afterwards.
Conducting job interviews for applicants who successfully pass the written exam by getting 50% and above.
Ranking applicants based on the following quota (written exam 25% and 50% for the GPA)
preparing reports on the applicants' suitability to the required job as well as their rankings.
Forwarding the final list of nominated applicants to the Recruitment, Coordination and Follow-Up Committee
The time framework allowed for this committee's tasks and duties to be completed and finalized is 5 weeks after receiving the necessary documents and preliminary lists of applicants from the Recruitment, Coordination and Follow-Up Committee.
