This committee is the only place in the university that receives eligible Saudi applicants for faculty positions (Lecturers and teaching assistants), and is directly affiliated with the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
The duties and tasks of this committee includes:
1. Receiving of applications to teaching positions as lecturers and teaching assistants.
2. Check the completion of the application documents which includes:
- The equalization certificate from the Ministry of Education for those who have graduated from foreign universities.
- A copy of the PhD thesis.
- An authenticated copy of academic records if any.
- An authenticated copy of degrees.
- A copy of the national ID.
4. Classifying the applicants into groups according to specializations and GPA.
5. Coordination between the different committees, faculties, and the standing committees for teaching assistants and lecturers.
6. Constituting a database of applicants applying for Exam and Interview committees.
7. Forwarding lists of applicants to the Exams and Interview committees.
8. Forwarding lists of nominated applicants issued by the Exams and Interview committees to respective faculties/colleges to proceed with the applications according to the regulations of higher education.
