In the presence of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdullah Addas and the Acting Secretary-General of King Fahd National Library, Prof. Mansour Al-Zamil, the Deanship of Library Affairs and King Fahd National Library signed an agreement for the university to join the Saudi Standard Index (Fahares).
The university was represented by the Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Issa Al-Dosari, while the director of the Saudi Unified Catalog Project, Mr. Othman Al-Asmari represented the King Fahd National Library.
This agreement comes within the efforts of the Deanship of Library Affairs in order to benefit from the leading expertise in the field of information containers and to support the integrated national role among Saudi libraries. Moreover. PSAU is first Saudi university to join the Saudi Standard Index (Fahares). It allows to benefit from the services provided by the Saudi Standard Index in the field of bibliographic control and to contribute to the development of information services within libraries.
