On Monday 22/1/1443 AH corresponding to 08/30/2021 AD, the Permanent Committee for International Cooperation and Knowledge and Community Partnership held its first meeting for the academic year 1443 AH at eleven o’clock in the morning under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Nasser bin Saad Al-Qahtani, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in charge, The committee reviewed the agenda, discussed the listed topics, and took the following decisions and recommendations:
- The request of the Deanship of Student Affairs to sign an agreement with Delta Medical Laboratories was discussed and the Committee recommended that a number of amendments be made to the draft application of the agreement and re-submitted to the Committee after making the required amendments with coordination for the presence of H.E. Dean of Student Affairs for the meeting.
- The request of the General Department of Projects to sign an agreement with King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy was discussed and the Committee recommended approval with the amendments and the presentation of the final draft to the members of the committee to take their views before signing the agreement.
- The business school's request for exit was discussed by signing a memorandum of cooperation with the Saudi Authority of Auditors and Accountants and the committee recommended approval and the addition of all accounting departments in the university colleges to the memorandum of cooperation.
- A circular request was discussed for all university bodies that no agreement, memorandum of understanding or contracts should be signed until they were adopted by the Standing Committee for International Cooperation and knowledge and community partnership.
- It was recommended that coordination be made to issue a circular in order to achieve the requirements of the institutional work system adopted at the university and to ensure that the agreements and partnerships of the university have a real impact and returns, in addition to ensuring that the rights of the university are preserved in various aspects of intellectual, financial and legal ownership.
