About the Department:
The Department of International Cooperation and Cultural Relations is responsible for establishing, coordinating, and monitoring distinguished partnerships at both the local and international levels in the academic and cultural fields. Its scope of work includes managing agreements and fostering cultural relations between Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and Saudi universities, as well as regional and international research centers and academic institutions.

General Objectives:
- Contribute to achieving the University's vision and mission of becoming a world-class institution across educational and research domains through distinguished local and international agreements.
- Activate and strengthen international cooperation agreements in academic, research, and cultural fields with leading international universities, develop frameworks for diverse areas of collaboration, and oversee the renewal of agreements.
- Enhance the University's participation in cultural events, cultural weeks, and international exhibitions.
- Develop an annual forward-looking plan for the University's international and scientific engagements, including associated exhibitions and events.
- Strengthen cultural relations and cooperation between the University and other academic institutions through active participation in joint scientific and cultural committees.
- Plan and establish bridges of cooperation and international and regional channels to benefit from the experiences of peer institutions while sharing the University's areas of expertise and excellence.
Core Organizational Responsibilities:
- Prepare and publish reports and publications highlighting the Department's academic and cultural achievements.
- Provide the essential resources required to achieve the Department's objectives.
- Monitor the implementation of international agreements within the University's colleges and research centers.
- Promote a culture of international cooperation across colleges, deanships, and centers within the University.
- Develop clear and structured mechanisms to monitor and maximize the benefits of collaborative activities between the University and international institutions across various fields.
- Review and evaluate proposals for new international agreements and other international cooperation activities.
- Establish mechanisms that ensure quality and excellence through the outcomes of international cooperation agreements.
- Develop short- and medium-term strategic plans for international cooperation.
- Document and analyze the outcomes and achievements of international agreements.
- Prepare periodic reports for the University President on the Department's activities and recent developments.
- Coordinate agreements and arrangements related to international cooperative training programs for students.
